A symbolic opening
The opening ceremony was marked by a minute's silence in tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam attack. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. François-Noël Buffet, representative of the French Minister of the Interior, and Mr. Nityanand Rai, Indian Minister of State for Home Affairs.
The latter emphasised the growing importance of the Franco-Indian partnership:
‘Together, we can strengthen the capabilities of our security forces, invest in the co-production of advanced technologies and create an environment where start-ups and SMEs can collaborate and innovate,’ he said.
An international technology showcase
Exhibitors from India, France, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and the Netherlands presented cutting-edge solutions in cybersecurity, AI, drones and armaments. Among the flagship innovations were the Rover Mark-1, a robot designed entirely in India for detecting suspicious objects, and CARACAL's CSR 50 rifle, designed for long-range operations.
Optiemus' FPV drones also attracted attention thanks to their optical cable navigation, which is resistant to electronic jamming.
